Amritsar : MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney, have donated next gen lifesaving Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation ECMO machine costing 1 crore rupees to Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Sri Amritsar Run and managed by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)
Sahney thanked Harjinder Singh Dhami, President SGPC for accepting the donation and have requested Jathedar Akal Takht Singh Sahib Gyani Harpreet Singh to do the Ardas.
Pending formal inauguration, the ECMO machine have been installed and fully functional and a special ICU have been created in the Hospital.
Vikramjit Singh Sahney also said that this latest technology ECMO machine will save lives of thousands of patients as it is more effective even then a Ventilator. There are handful of ECMO machines presently available in Punjab and Delh.
