Ambala: Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij took a dig at Leader of Opposition in the Assembly and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, saying that Hooda has taken the contract to do all the wrong work. He said,a scheme has been implemented for the benefit, the data of every Haryanvi has come in the Parivaar Pehchan Patra and people are getting benefits from it but Congress leader have taken the contract to do all the wrong things. Vij was responding to a question asked by media persons during the Janata Darbar in Ambala on Saturday at PWD Rest House Ambala Cantt when asked regarding Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s statement that the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme would be discontinued when Congress comes to power in the state.
In response to a question regarding the restoration of old pension in Himachal Pradesh, Vij said that it was their promise, which they have done. He said that this is an issue and the Chief Minister will consider what to do and what not to do. In response to a question regarding Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra, Vij said it has been a gimmick for many days and no one is paying attention to it, the yatras had taken place earlier also, the entire public used to get up and come. He said that earlier yatra has also been done; now they have left, but nothing has happened. Vij said that ‘every party has its own work, keep doing work’.
Replying to the question asked by media regarding women related crimes, Vij said that h has asked for information about all the cases registered under POCSO and on which action has not been taken because these are very serious cases, he will take strict action on them. In response to another question regarding increasing drug addiction in Haryana, the Home Minister said that Haryana Police is also arresting people from outside the state doing drug peddling and only yesterday rounded such criminals at Ambala as well as in past also police have arrested many such people quite often, Vij said, Narcotics Control Bureau in the state taking strict action conducting raids regularly.
The Home Minister said that he fix date regarding raids and on that day the police of entire Haryana conduct raids for the arrest of people involved in illegal criminal like gambling, sale of illicit liquor, betting, drugs smuggling and illegally supplying etc. and he is informed about such raids. Vij told that he is having entire data of such criminal activities of each district in the state to evaluate the performance of SP of every district in the state, moreover he is regularly in touch with senior police officers of every district in order to wipe out crimes completely from the state. Vij said that no matter how drugs are being smuggled in the state and if it comes then it is the duty of our police to catch hold of such smugglers and seize such drugs.
Responding to a question regarding the ‘Janata Darbar’ Vij said that he has been listening to the problems of the public generally on every Saturday for many years in which people from all over Haryana are come to get resolved their grievances and as a minister it is my duty to solve their problems and provide them justice, so I am doing my duty. He said, “My name is Anil Vij, I will not let the people of my state cry and wail”
