Mystery of 5 cases wine short in railway consignment during GRP custody, now facing action

Superintendent Police GRP Haryana at Ambala Sangeeta kalia has ordered to send in-charge GRP police station Chandigarh to the police line at Ambala City and investigation in the case has been ordered as regard a consignment of 15 cases of wine wrapped in thermocol packing despatched through railways parcel office at Chandigarh from Chandigarh to Patna in Bihar. In-charge parcel offiice Chandigarh after booking the consignment suspected a foul smell and when opened a case found 10 bottles English wine illegally packed in the case despatched, and a complaint was lodged with the Government Railway Police (GRP) station which indicated 10 cases in the FIR registered under Excise Act instead of 15 cases and the mystery of the shortage of five cases containing 50 bottles wine remained under suspense.

When matter came to the knowledge Sangeeta Kalia GRP SP Ambala, she took a very serious view over shortage of five cases containing 50 bottles wine in GRP police station at Chandigarh and she ordered investigation in the matter and concerned in-charge of GRP police station was sent to the police line at Ambala City and started search for the person booked the consignment at Chandigarh railway parcel office a couple of days ago identified himself as Vidya Chand Yadav.

 Information reveals, Bihar state has been declared dry where sale of wine is prohibited. However, in the meanwhile when the matter was exposed GRP police station immediately produced five cases containing 50 bottles wine. Sangeeta Kalia GRP SP said that the concerned police station in-charge was removed from the duty immediately, sent to the line at Ambala City police line to face further action. The mystery of shortage of five cases wine in GRP police station, which were  illegally booked from Chandigarh to Patna throght railway parcel office was solved in 36 hours.
