Narcotic Cell ASI arrested while smuggling opium at Ambala

CIA staff of Haryana Railway Police (GRP) on a information arrested Niranjan working as Assistant Sub Inspector in Narcotic Cell of Haryana police on a information that he is going to collect a consignment of drugs at the entry gate of railway station Ambala by a drug supplier in a white car. Chasing by a team of CIA staff saw a white car bearing registration number 24-Z 0012 in which a person sitting in the car came out to meet Niranjan ASI sitting in his car. Meanwhile, police team immediately conducted raid when Niranjan attempted to flee and did not hesitated even to hit members of police team they were saved and his vehicle hit an motorcycle of a policeman, but in due course of time he was overpowered by members of CIA staff, which during checking recovered a packet containing 250 gm opium and Rs 29000 currency notes.

Paramjit Singh Sub Inspector GRP CIA Staff told that the person sitting in white car arrived to deliver opium was identified as Shiv Narain a resident of Jhalawad in Rajasthan.  Niranjan ASI was produced in the court on Tuesday and remanded to police custody.  Shiv Narain during preliminary investigation disclosed that he brought opium from main supplier Kripal Singh residing at Jhalawad in Rajasthan. During preliminary investigation Jai Narain told that he arrived to deliver opium against payment Rs 29000. Police registered case against Niranjan ASI under IPC sections 18, 29 of NDPS Act and sections 279, 336, 427 of IPC attempted to kill CIA Staff members.

Meanwhile, among three arrested on Sunday which included mother Komal, her daughter Kukki both residents of Deha Colony Ambala City and the driver Sewak while travelling in Honda City car in which they were travelling while carrying 520 gm heroine of value worth Rs 2.5 crore they purchased from Delhi were produced in the court on Monday and remanded to police for three days.  During remand period Komal told that she used to procure drugs from Delhi quite often and selling in Haryana as well as adjoining Punjab and U.P states. Information revealed that Komal was also arrested by Ambala police on May 3 this year when she had supplied heroine to a youth Pawan a resident of Kurukshetra district. She told that she used to pay Ra 5000 per trip to Delhi to the driver Sewak resident of Una in H.P.
