Nearly 14% population in India suffers from mental disorders

On the eve of World Mental Health Day, various national and international research organizations identified that nearly 97 crore people in the world are suffering from mental disorders witnessed nearly hundred percent increase in past 27 years between year 1990 and 2017 as disclosed in the report of National Institute of Mental Health, USA. At the same time, another famous research centre disclosed in a recent report on September 16, 2020 that till year 2015 nearly 32.54 crore people in the world were found suffering from a mental disorder in the world till year 2015 and nearly 14% Indians suffering from mental disorder  for one reason or the other and number of such patients is fast rising causing drastic increase in the cases of suicides as well as drug addiction in the country.

Mental tension is a serious disorder largely due to genetic reasons, surrounding environments, negative developments in the body and lifestyle. A person suffering from mental tension usually face symptoms like lack of appetite or taking excessive food, lack of sleep or excessive sleep and giddiness,  prefer to stay at a lonely place, sense of upset, depression, anger, fear, habit of forgetting and disliking of everything. According to medical experts, regular daily exercise keeps body active, brings positive thinking in the mind, nutritious diet healthy social life, strong will power and regular practice of meditation play important role to relieve mental disorders.

According to Centre for Disease Control organization in United States, for those youths between age 6 and 17 years aerobic exercises from medium to fast movements should be performs for 60 minutes everyday for physical fitness as well as reforms in academic performance, improved memory and mental relief.
