Mumbai: Even as speedy medical intervention continues to be in demand in the modern day world amidst emerging diseases like COVID-19 that left a tragic impact on an unprepared humanity, India is witnessing diagnostic centres springing in this regard with a top medical chain Neuberg Diagnostics recently announcing launch of its three regional reference laboratories and a “Centre of Excellence” for Oncopathology in Mumbai.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated online the three state-of-the-art regional reference laboratories at Dahisar, Chembur and Vidyavihar and Centre of Excellence for Oncopathology in Mumbai.
Those present included Dr GSK Velu, Chairman and Managing Director, Neuberg Diagnostics, Dr Ajay Shah, Managing Director, Neuberg Ajay Shah Laboratory, Dr Rajesh Bendre, Technical Director, Neuberg Diagnostics and Dr Jay Mehta, President & Head, Neuberg Oncopath.
Describing the launch of these new labs as a “significant milestone” for Neuberg Diagnostics’ mission to provide world-class pathology services, Dr. G.S.K. Velu, Founder and Chairman of Neuberg Diagnostics, reiterated the commitment to using latest technology and scientific advancements in improving patient outcomes and providing accurate diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
He said Neuberg Diagnostics’ has partnered with Dr. Ajay Shah — one of the oldest and leading medical diagnostics networks — to establish the laboratory in Dahisar and has set up a large standalone reference lab in Chembur.
Highlighting Neuberg Diagnostics overseas expansion plans, he said this included establishing a presence in East Africa, West Africa, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Germany.
Presently based in South Africa, USA and the UAE besides India, Neuberg Diagnostics is one of the top four Indian Pathology laboratory chains with over 150+ labs and over 2000-plus touch points across 4 countries.
The new labs will process about 5000 samples daily, besides accessing the entire lab medicine test menu of over 6000 investigations covering routine & advanced investigations including genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, proteomics, oncopathology, transplant immunology and newborn screening.
Dr Ajay Shah, Managing Director, Neuberg Ajay Shah Laboratory partner, said that the joint venture would ensure access to the best pathology testing services for people in the region.
Dr Rajesh Bendre, Technical Director, Neuberg Reference Laboratory, Chembur, said that the focus is on providing world-class customer care alongside delivering accurate, reliable results and smart reports with interpretations in a “user friendly fashion.”
The company has also established Neuberg Oncopathology Reference Laboratory, a centre of excellence and state-of-the-art second opinion laboratory for Oncopathology in Vidyavihar for advanced cancer care diagnosis by experienced Oncopathologists, and geneticists.
