New Delhi-Chandigarh Shatabdi to get new look

Shatabdi Express train No. 12045-46 running between New Delhi and Chandigarh would now have new shining look under Project ‘Swaran’ approved by Railway Ministry, it was disclosed to media persons by Divisional Railway Manager Ambala that an amount worth Rs 58.42 lakh would be spent on this project for face lifting the train likely to complete by the end March 2019.

He told that all 10 compartments in this train are being fitted with LED   lights to shine during night. The train running on the tracks since past about six years would have attractive interior as well as exterior look and the work is in progress costing Rs 2.22 lakh in each compartment to have air fresheners installed in each compartment, gold wall cover, door way, luggage rack panels, improved toilets, attractive ceiling, destination board and display of attractive eye-catching pictures inside the compartments for enjoyable journey of travelling passengers.
