NIA arrested 2 armed Kala Rana gang members in Yamunanagar

Spreading gangster’s network in Haryana worries residents as well as government in the state. National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a drive against gangsters, smugglers and hard core criminals conducted as many as 13 raids in four states including Haryana in past few days. Among those raided included Kushal Choudhary,Vishal Maan, Binny Gurjar and Ravi Rajgarh.Dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was kept in police custody for interrogation for three days. NIA on the basis of gathered information raided two members of Kala Rana gang involved in carrying arms illegally identified as SimranjitSingh alias Bawa and Shubham accompanied by CIA Staff Yamunanagar police and Yamunanagar police force on Monday earlu morning hours which continued for over four hours. Both were produced before a court and sent to four days police remand, a police spokesperson said. Rakesh Kumar said the duo was nabbed after they made an unsuccessful robbery attempt on a police team while patrolling in the area.

According to information, CIA-2 team of Yamunanagar Police had arrested two persons allegedly having links with the Kala Rana gang and seized two illegal weapons, seven live cartridges and a motorcycle on Wednesday when both were identified as Simranjeet Singh and Shubham residents of Yamunanagar.CIA-2 in-charge Rakesh Kumar told media persons that the duo was nabbed after they made an unsuccessful robbery attempt on a police patrolling team which recovered a country-made pistol and five cartridges from Simranjeet alias Bawa and a country-made gun along with two cartridges from Shubham. During preliminary investigation it was found that they were affiliated to Kala Rana gang and Simranjeet a criminal was working on the tips of Kala Rana’s brother Surya Pratap alias Noni presently lodged inside Ambala Central jail.

The cop further said that during a search raid at Kala Rana’s house in Lakshmi Garden jointly with National Investigating Agency (NIA) and Special Task Force (STF) of the Haryana Police on Monday seized a packed parcel of mobile phones that was supposed to be sent to a jail along with five pistols, one short gun, and several active cartridges. Information also reveals that Ambala Central Jail security staff had recovered nearly four dozen mobile phones and its accessories in four weeks. According to police officers it is suspected that they were planning for a shootout in the near future for which logistics were being arranged but the planned conspiracy failed due to NIA raids. An associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, Kala Jathedi syndicate-Kala Rana is currently lodged at Tihar Jail Delhi.
