He ssaidin a statement issued here that it is characteristic of the Sikhs that they always support the needy following the teachings and principles of the Gurus.  Dhami said that it is not appropriate to harass the managers of such humanitarian organisations. He said that if any investigation was required, the responsible managers of Khalsa Aid could have been sent a notice and called to join the same. Creating an atmosphere of fear by raiding offices and homes without notice is not justified. He said that the investigative agencies of the Government of India should never forget that Sikh organizations are at the forefront of relief work at all times. The terrible period of the Covid-19 pandemic is the most recent example when the volunteers of Sikh organisations served humanity without caring for their lives.
