New Delhi—Farmers remained undaunted to continue with their struggle till the contentious farm laws are repealed as the peaceful sit-in entered its 19th day on Monday. The farm leaders expressed confidence that their efforts will yield the desired result as he motivated hundreds of thousands of farmers including women and labourers to support each other in the fight.
Many ex-servicemen, youth, artists, writers and Pollywood film personalities expressed solidarity with Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ekta-Ugrahan) in their demand to roll back the agricultural laws along with other demands at Tikri Border in Delhi. In his address at various places at the venue, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Union President reassured that the massive and peaceful struggle of the farmers would “force” the Modi government to withdraw these “black laws”. He further informed that families of aggrieved farmers and labourers who committed suicide due to deepening agricultural crisis will also join them on December 16 and recount their stories of hardship.
Meanwhile, BKU (Ekta-Ugrahan) held massive protest marches in 15 districts of Punjab, joined by a large number of farmers, women, labourers and even children who braved chilly weather
