Out of 2181 Government Schools in Haryana 621 are functioning without Principal

According to information, as many as 621 senior secondary schools out of total number of 2181 schools in Haryana state are functioning without principal as a result the studies of the students in these schools is adversely affected. Information reveals, the posts of principals are lying vacant in most of these schools since a long time but state education directorate is taking no action to fill up vacant positions against those principals either left jobs or retired from the services. When talked to P.K. Das Additional Chief Secretary school education department in the state, he told that there is a proposal to promote headmasters or senior post-graduate teachers working in government schools in the state to fill up vacant posts and for the time being addition charge has been given to the principals of other schools in the nearby to supervise the school where vacancy for the principal is lying vacant. He told that large number principals are getting retired during current year when the number of vacancies for the posts of principal would increase as such immediate action is being taken to fill up vacant posts.
According to data available with the department, Fatehabad and Jhajjer districts lead in vacancies of principals in senior secondary schools in the state. Out of total number of 96 posts for principals in senior secondary schools in Fatehabad district 53 posts are lying vacant and in Jhajjer district out of 138 posts of principals 52 posts lying vacant. As regard other districts in the state out of 97 schools in Ambala districts 15 schools are not having principal, out of 55 schools in Panchkula district 9 schools are without principal, out of 79 schools in Kurukshetra district 19 schools are having no principal, out of 113 schools in Karnal district 40 schools have no principal, out of 112 schools in Kaithal district 46 schools are functioning without principal, out of 98 schools in Panipat district there are vacancies for 34 posts of principal.
Similarly, 16 posts for the principals are lying vacant out of 75 posts in senior secondary schools in Yamunanagar district, 30 out of 135 posts for principals are lying vacant in Sonepat district, 15 out of 121 posts are lying vacant in schools in Rohtak district, 34 out of 153 posts are lying vacant in the schools in Hisar district, 29 out of 124 posts are lying vacant in Bhiwani district, 33 posts out of 69 are lying vacant in Charkhi Dadri, 26 out of 108 posts are lying vacant in Mohindergarh district, 29 posts out of 99 are lying vacant in Sirsa district, 20 out of 73 posts are lying vacant in Faridabad district, 21 posts out of 65 are lying vacant in Palwal district, 29 posts out of 113 posts lying vacant in Jind district, 22 out of 100 posts lying vacant in Gurugram district, 44 posts out of 93 posts lying vacant in Rewari district and 44 posts out of 65 posts lying vacant in Nuh (Mewat) district.
