Ambala:  While addressing a gathering to inject power in Congress workers to promote favorable Congress policies among public, former Ambala MLA and a senior Congress leader Jasbir Mallour said that people in Haryana state are now facing severe neglect in both education and health sectors, in which Ayushman Cards to provide free medical services up to Rs 5 lakh in private hospitals issued by the government have become merely a piece of paper since private hospitals have to get huge amounts towards treatment provided to the people under this scheme from the government, and now refusing to provide treatment to such patients.

Congress leader said that corruption in government offices in the state is at the peak with fake teaching in government schools having fake students admitted in primary schools providing them mid day meal, books, uniforms and scholarship which have been investigated by the Vigilance department and Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered CBI investigation in 2019, and an SIT was also constituted twice to investigate alleged frauds, which proved merely an eyewash by the government and those responsible for the embezzlements were sheltered by the government itself aiming to oblige corrupts.

Mallour said, as regard Ayushman Yozna introduced by the ruling state government to provide free medical treatment to the families below poverty line upto Rs 5 lakh, Aayushman cards have become merely a piece of paper since government was delaying reimbursement towards medical treatment  provided by the private hospital to such patients when Indian Medical Association (IMA) took decision not to provide medical treatment to patients under this scheme. Mllour said, health services in government hospitals in the state are worst having lack of facilities to the patients, shortage of doctors, medicines and beds for the patients beds, besides lack of basic facilities to the patients in the hospitals.

Mallour said, rainy season have already approached, but there are lack of arrangements by the ruling government to save people from floods in arriving rainy water, since all drains flowing in twin city Ambala are fully packed with garbage in the absence of cleaning by Municipal Corporation staff, posing a severe threat of floods similar to the previous year when residents as well as the traders in twin city Ambala had suffered loss worth crores of rupees due to rain water entered in their premises premises and factories, since most of the drains were blocked due to the garbage in it. Mallour said, the situation of a large number of drains flowing in the town during this year too is worst due to carelessness of government and municipal corporation staff neglected to clean drains prior to the rainy season.
