PIB Chandigarh highlights the government’s communication strategies at Panjab University

Chandigarh: The School of Communication Studies at Panjab University  hosted a lecture by Rajinder Chaudhry, Assistant Director General (ADG) of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in Chandigarh.

 The lecture, titled “Government Media Structure & Social Media”, shed light on the government’s communication strategies.

During the talk,  Rajinder Chaudhry emphasized the significance of effective communication in governance, stating that “Communication is an important tool for the government to reach out to the public and provide them with accurate and timely information.” He also discussed the various communication tools used by the government to disseminate information and addressed the challenges faced by the government in communicating its policies and initiatives to the public.

Harshit Narang, Assistant Director of PIB Chandigarh, and Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti, Chairperson of the School of Communication Studies at Panjab University, were also present at the lecture.

The Q&A session that followed the talk was lively, with students, and faculty from the field of communication actively participating.

Dr. Bhatti expressed her gratitude to Rajinder Chaudhry for sharing his valuable insights, stating that “We are privileged to have Rajinder Chaudhry speak at our School of Communication Studies. His lecture was informative and thought-provoking, and provided our students with a deeper understanding of the role of communication in governance.”
