Ambala, September 06, 2023 : Press Information Bureau, Chandigarh organised a media workshop- Vartalaap at Ambala, Haryana, today. This event, aimed at discussing various aspects of governance, education policies, and societal development, witnessed insightful discussions and engaging dialogues.
The event commenced with a warm Welcome Address Rajinder Chaudhry, Additional Director General, PIB Chandigarh. He also gave a brief presentation on nine years of government. He reflected on the government’s achievements, stating, “Over the past nine years, our government has remained steadfast in its commitment to service, good governance, and the welfare of our citizens. We’ve witnessed remarkable progress in various sectors, and this journey of Seva, Sushasan, and Gareeb Kalyan continues with unwavering determination. Our nation’s development journey is an inspiring tale of progress. From the expansion of digital infrastructure to the establishment of smart cities, we have embarked on a path of growth that not only uplifts our economy but also enhances the quality of life for millions of our citizens.”
Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Director of Health Services, shared valuable insights during his Address on ‘Govt. Schemes in the Health Sector.’ He highlighted the government’s initiatives to improve healthcare access and services. He said, “Our government’s initiatives in the health sector are aimed at ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare for all. We are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our citizens through innovative schemes and services.”
Dhaneshwari Sharma, an educator at SD Vidya School, Ambala Cantt, spoke at length about the steps being taken at their school that are in line with the national education policy. She elaborated the success of the National Education Policy 2020 by highlighting the ground level changes in adoption of Skill Courses, Multiple choices in choosing careers, vocationalisation of education, Experiential learning Experience etc.. Another educator, Ms Bharti Sehgal was also present and shared details of the success of NEP 2020.
Sudhir Kalra, District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) of Ambala, elaborated on the ‘Government Efforts in the Implementation of NEP 2020.’ He said, “Our concerted efforts in implementing the National Education Policy 2020 are geared towards nurturing a more inclusive, dynamic, and forward-thinking educational ecosystem in Ambala. We are committed to providing students with the tools they need to excel in the ever-evolving world of knowledge and skills.” He highlighted the specific measures taken for Training of Teachers to ensure successful implementation of the New Education Policy 2020.
I. Jawahar, State Director of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), spoke passionately about the ‘Power of Khadi’ and its role in empowering local communities. He said, “The growth of Khadi represents a vibrant and resilient economy.” He also discussed and explained the various initiatives that have been taken under the ambit of Khadi and Village Industries Commission that promote skill development and entrepreneurship at the grassroot levels.
The Vartalaap event in Ambala, Haryana, provided a platform for insightful discussions on governance, health, education, and community development, reflecting the government’s dedication to progress and the welfare of its citizens.
During the event, the Central Bureau of Communication’s Chandigarh office also hosted an exhibition titled “9 Years of Seva, Sushasan, and Garib Kalyan” at the venue. This exhibition showcased the government’s recent achievements and initiatives.
