PM Modi to visit Jammu & Kashmir on Feb 20

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit Jammu and Kashmir on February 20, where he plans to distribute over a lakh appointment letters at a Rozgaar Mela, as per reports. Alongside, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several significant projects, including the establishment of an AIIMS in Vijainagar.

This visit to the Union Territory is perceived as a strategic move to engage and win the support of the region’s youth in anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Union Ministers Dr Jitendra Singh and Ashwini Kumar Choubey are expected to participate in the job distribution Mela at BSF Headquarters Paloura in Jammu.

Additional information suggests that Union Minister of State for AYUSH, Women and Child Development, Mahendra Munjpara, will be present at the Rozgar Mela in Srinagar. Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farm Welfare, Kailash Choudhary, will oversee the distribution of appointment letters to the youth at the Rozgar Mela in Leh.
