New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh on March 30. He will honour the founders of the RSS at Smriti Mandir in Nagpur at approximately 9 am. He is set to visit Deeksha Bhoomi to honour BR Ambedkar. Following this, he will lay the foundation stone for multiple projects before departing for Chhattisgarh, where he plans to allocate thousands of crores of rupees to the state. During his trip to Nagpur, he will visit Smriti Mandir and Deeksha Bhoomi, lay the foundation for Netralaya, and officially open the facility of Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited.
He will also conduct the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone and formally inaugurate several development projects worth Rs 33,700 crore in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Additionally, during the Prime Minister’s visit, a housewarming ceremony will take place for 300,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Chhattisgarh.
The memorials dedicated to Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the RSS, and MS Golwalkar, the organization’s second Sarsanghchalak, can be found at Smriti Mandir. Additionally, he will honour Dr. BR Ambedkar at Deeksha Bhoomi, the site where, in 1956, he embraced Buddhism alongside thousands of his followers.
Following his visit to Maharashtra, Prime Minister Modi will proceed directly to Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. There, at approximately 3:30 PM, he will lay the foundation for several development initiatives and dedicate various projects valued at over Rs 33,700 crore to the nation. Among these, he will initiate the NTPC’s Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Phase-III (1x800MW) in Bilaspur district, which has an investment exceeding Rs 9,790 crore. Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the first supercritical thermal power project (2X660MW) of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL), with a cost surpassing Rs 15,800 crore.
In addition, he will inaugurate three power transmission projects by PowerGrid, which have an investment exceeding Rs 560 crore, as part of the Western Region Expansion Scheme (WRES). Following this, Prime Minister Modi will speak at a rally held in the area. During this event, 300,000 beneficiaries will receive their Grihapravesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PAMY-G), with the Prime Minister personally handing over keys to select beneficiaries of the program. Furthermore, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate 130 PM Shri Schools across 29 districts in Chhattisgarh.
PM Modi will give this gift to Chhattisgarh: He will inaugurate the foundation stone for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) project by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in the districts of Korea, Surajpur, Balrampur, and Surguja. Additionally, he will also lay the foundation stone for the 540-kilometer Visakh-Raipur Pipeline (VRPL) project of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), which is projected to exceed Rs 2,210 crore in cost. There will be a particular emphasis on advancing various rail and road initiatives to enhance connectivity, particularly in the tribal and industrial regions of Chhattisgarh.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the foundation for seven railway projects, which collectively span 108 kilometers. Additionally, he will officially dedicate three railway projects, totaling 111 kilometers in length, with an investment exceeding Rs 2,690 crore, to the nation. The Jhalmala to Sherpar segment of NH-930, measuring 37 kilometers, along with the Ambikapur-Pathalgaon stretch of NH-43, which is 75 kilometers long, will be dedicated for enhancement to a two-lane configuration with paved shoulders. Furthermore, he will also lay the foundation for the upgrade of the Kondagaon-Narayanpur section of NH-130D, covering 47.5 kilometers, to a two-lane road with paved shoulders.
