Political leaders are usually seen indulged in clashes in the party due to frustration when not in power. Both Congress and INLD senior leaders in Haryana state are facing clashed in their party. Sources reveal, rift is going on between Congress heavy weight leaders Selja HPCC president and a former Union Minister and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and their supporters. It was due to joint efforts by Selja and Hooda, Congress was able to win 30 seats in last Vidhan Sabha polls in Haryana and needless to say out of those 30 winners, 25 MLAs belong to Hooda’s lobby and among remaining five MLAs won last Vidhan Sabha polls on behalf of Congress include Kiran Chowdhury, Kuldeep Bishnoi and Chiranjiv Rao son of former finance minister Capt Ajay Yadav all powerful party leaders having good relations with both Selja as well as Hooda. However, remaining two MLAs Shamsher Gogi and Shelly are among Selja’s sincere followers.
Rift between Hooda and Selja was visible in a party meeting held at Karnal sometime ago when 17 Congress leaders present in this meeting expressed concern over neglect to Bhupinder Singh Hooda with whom Congress was able to win maximum number of seats in last Vidhan Sabha polls in the state. MLA supporting Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed concern over Congress unsuccessful to create a strong party network in Haryana in past over a year during Selja working as party president in the state and gap in relationship between both groups widening. Information also reveals, Vivek Bansal newly appointed Congress state convener after his appointment visited Haryana number of times and in-spite of all efforts failed to finish increasing rift between Selja and Hooda
According to information, both Selja and Hooda possess strong hold in Congress high command. It cannot be denied, Hooda is need of hour for Congress in Haryana state. Hooda’s supporters demand free hand for their leader and feel that it was only due to him Congress in the state was able to win 30 seats in last Vidhan Sabha elections. On the other hand Selja is first choice for Smt Sonia Gandhi, whereas Deepender Singh Hooda son of Bhupinder Singh Hooda is near to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Wadra as such it is not possible for Congress high command to neglect Bhupinder Singh Hooda in-spite of Selja’s influence over Smt Sonia Gandhi.
Rift exists in Chautala family too. INLD General Secretary Abhey Singh Chautala recently submitted his resignation from Haryana Vidhan Sabha assembly in support of present farmers’ agitation. Making comments against his nephew Dushyant Chautala Deputy Chief Minister Haryana who left INLD and launched his separate party JJP prior to last elections in the state after victory over 10 Vidhan Sabha seats had alliance with BJP to form a government in the state , Abhaey Singh Chautala demanded CBI investigation in both fake registration and liquor smuggling scams in Haryana caused huge revenue loss to state government in both cases looked after by Dushyant Chautala holding corruption charges on the officers of the departments
Information also reveals, political rift between members of Chautala family is constantly rising and Abhey Singh Chautala is busy these days to unite old members of his INLD left party when Dushyant Chautala started his separate party JJP. Pointing at JJP, Abhey Singh Chautala said that JJP launched by Dushyant Chautala has started collapsing and most of their MLAs are interested to join INLD. He said, Ajay Singh Chautala in his announcements had declared Dushyant Chautala, too, is prepared to submit his resignation in support of protesting farmers and his resignation from Haryana assembly is lying in his pocket, but Ajay Chautala has already left for Tihar central jail Delhi on completion of his parole and the resignation letter perhaps left in his pocket, Abhey Singh Chautala said, BJP-JJP alliance government in Haryana state has witnessed nearly nine scams in a short period of over an year, which will expose the names of several political leaders involved in these scams in case of CBI investigation.
