Pressure being built to withdraw the case, victim trainee doctor at Rohtak PGI said I want justice

Rohtak: The video of the student doctor at PGIMS Rohtak who was kidnapped, ill treated by a resident doctor gone viral on social media revealed  the student said that in the first few days they had living for each other, but when she came to know that he is already having friendship with another female left meeting him. Meanwhile, there is another video of PGIMS medical student who was kidnapped brutally beaten up in Rohtak getting viral on social media, in which the victim student has said that she will not withdraw the case filed against the accused doctor on her complaint of harassing her who has been terminated from the institute, and she wants justice against alleged accused beaten up and harassed her.

She said, if the the doctor beaten and tortured her for 12 hours had killed her that night (similar to the case held at Kolkata recently in which semi nude body of a trainee doctor was recovered inside the hospital with several injury marks all over on her body), people would have taken out candle marches and protests for me too as in Kolkata case, she added  The student has given this answer to those who are trolling her on second social media gone viral. She admitted that though she came close to him, but when she came to know that he was already in friendship with a girl she started to step back and the doctor made it difficult for her to study and live. The student alleged that the doctor used to keep her mobile, sometimes books and sometimes other projects just to harass her. She said that the doctor started torturing her, beating her and the harassment continued for the past seven months and even did not allow her to talk to any student in the class and often beat her.

Meanwhile, Renu Bhatia, Chairperson of Haryana State Women Commission, has sent a letter to National Medical Commission and Rohtak PGIMS asking them to cancel the license of the doctor accused of kidnapping the student. She also said that after cancelling the license, information about it should be given immediately. In this regard, she has also instructed the Superintendent of Police with a copy to the PGIMS Director to prepare a report of the entire incident and submit it within a week. Renu Bhatia said that the law does not give anyone the right to harass or assault anyone. Information reveals that the accused doctor was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and was remanded to police for three days, after the remand period was over, the accused was presented in the court and granted bail. Information also reveals, in the recent past several cases of sexual attacks and harassment by the doctors on trainee doctors or nursing staff has been reported in hospitals and medical institutes in the country, which need a strict law against accused.
