Principal, teacher shot dead by militants in Srinagar

NEW DELHI: Two days after the killing of prominent Kashmiri pandit Chemist Makhan Lal Bindroo, unidentified militants today killed two civilians including principal and teacher of Eidgah Sangam area of Srinagar.

The principal Satinder Kaur and the teacher, Deepak Chand were reportedly killed by the terrorist in Srinagar on Thursday. There were no students in the school at the time of the incident as classes are still online.

According to a police official, “At about 11:15 am, terrorists shot dead two school teachers at Sangam Eidgah in Srinagar district,” He also said that the area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched for the attackers.

In the last five days, seven people have been killed in terror attacks in Kashmir. Earlier last Tuesday, Makhan Lal Bindroo from the Iqbal Park area of Srinagar killed the terrorists who entered the medical store and shot him.
