Properties of drug smugglers demolished, attached at Sisra, Kurukshetra & Ambala in Haryana

Narcotics Control Bureau in Haryana state has taken action against drug smugglers at Sirsa, Kurukshetra and Ambala either demolished their illegal properties built on ‘Panchayat’ land with bulldozers or attached their properties.

Dr. Arpit Jain, the Superintending Police Sirsa told media persons that Iqbal Singh resident of village Dadu in Sirsa district having six cases registered against him under NDPS Act at Kalanwali police station had illegally constructed building on 4 kanal area belonging to village ‘Panchayat’ land was demolished. Similarly, police demolished another building illegally constructed by a drug smuggler Kuldeep alias Kalu also a resident of village Dadu built on ‘Panchayat’ land against whom several cases under NDPS Act were registered at Kalanwali police station. Dr. Jain told that police also demolished illegal properties of another two drug smugglers identified as Gora Singh and Namdev alias Kaka having nearly 10 cases each registered against both under NDPS Act in different police stations in Haryana and Punjab. Police attached their properties of value worth crores of rupees.

Karnal police also took action against a drug smuggler Kehar Singh a resident of village Dhantodi in Kurukshetra district against whom nearly 10 cases were registered under NDPS Act and attached his property of value worth Rs 1.5 crore. Information also reveals that properties of value worth Rs 10 crore have either been demolished or attached by the government in past about a year in Karnal district. According to Naresh SHO Sadar police station Ambala Cantt, action is being taken to attach entire property of Rajesh Kumar a resident of Deha ColonyAmbala Cantt,  also a former member of Sadar municipal committee involved in drug smuggling and supply business since past about five years along with his wife Guddi and daughter Monica. Earlier, few months ago Ambala police had demolished his godown built on encroached land with bulldozers where plenty stocks of drugs were recovered and destroyed by the police.

 SHO Sadar police station told media persons that during recent raid at the residence of Rajesh Kumar police failed to arrest all alleged accuse in the family found absconding and during search in the house recovered assets of value worth several crore, including nearly Rs 22 lakh currency notes, nearly 2200 gm gold, of value over 12 lakh, nearly 1.8 kg silver of value worth Rs 1.10 lakh, five luxury cars over a dozen costly mobile phones, number of air conditioners and electronic gadgets, besides huge amount of money deposited in different bank accounts of the family.  SHO told that decision has been taken to seal all bank accounts and attach entire property of all alleged accused.
