Haryana state government has finalised a proposal to develop a Bulk Drug Park in about 2000 acre area at Hisar in Haryana statesimilar to one functioning at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh known as biggest pharmaceutical hub in Asia. Addressing media persons Deputy Prime Minister Dushyant Chautala said, proposal has been sent to government in the centre for approval of this project likely to be approved on priority since another Integrated Aviation Hub is being developed at Hisar. Chautala said. a detailed meeting was also held with all administrative officer of district to start work on various aspects of proposed project including land.
Chautala said, he had a discussion with the senior officers of SHVPN and Public Health Department to increase load of power supply as well as requirement of water because after approval of this project large numbers of pharmaceutical industries in the country are likely to set up their production units in this park. Chautala said, there is a proposal to establish Labour Board head office at Jind and district administration at Jind has been directed to search a suitable place for the same at Jind. He said, construction work of Jind-Rohtak National Highway lying suspended since past sometime has also been started. Among those present on the occasion were State Minister Anup Dhanak and Deputy Commissioner Hisar Dr Priyanka Soni.
