Sonipat: Murthal Police raided a high-end spa on the third floor of a building on the 51 Mile Stone in Murthal in Sonipat district, busting a prostitution racket running in a spa centre on GT Road. Police arrested four accused including the spa operator. ACP Ajit Singh said, four women including two foreigners have been taken under protection. Police had sent fake customers to catch the accused red handed. Women during police interrogation accused two operators of Spa centre of forcing them to do immoral things, both operators were sent to police custody on three-day remand, however one was granted bail. Earlier, a fake customer was sent to verify the information that illegal prostitution was going on, who confirmed the illegal activities are going on in this Spa centre having a 5 star look, named ‘Reborn’ on the third floor of the building. The raid resulted in the detention of four women, including two foreign nationals, and four men. Abhi Jain, a resident of Sonipat’s Gurmandi area, was identified as the operator of the establishment. A case was registered allegedly about the dirty business of prostitution going on in the Spa centre and further investigations underway.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ajit Singh stated that the police received information about prostitution being run under the guise of a spa centre. A fake customer was sent to verify the information, which confirmed the illegal activity. Police seized Rs 62,000 from the premises. The women present, claiming to be local residents, revealed they were involved in prostitution, receiving Rs 500 per customer from the spa’s operator. The establishment housed nine rooms and a person sitting at the counter. During the raid, the police found an individual in a compromising position in one of the rooms. The police arrested four accused including the spa operator. Four women including two foreigners have been taken under protection. The women who were taken under their protection accused the operator of forcing them to do immoral things by seizing their documents and mobiles. The arrested accused identified as Atishya Jain, Sumit, Sandeep and the youth Vinay who was present at the spot were presented in the court. Atishya Jain was taken on three-day remand. Sumit and Sandeep were sent to judicial custody and Vinay was found in an objectionable condition with a female in a room. got bail. Whereas, the woman taken in custody by police was released after questioning.
The police also arrested the manager Sumit and the employee Sandeep from there. The police took the women under protection, two of them were found to be from Thailand. After taking information about all the four, they were released. The woman said that the operator used to keep the documents in his possession. The preliminary police investigation revealed that the accused used to take Rs 1000 to 1500 from the customer visiting the spa center and used to give Rs 500 to the girls involved in flesh business. The girls said that they used to do this work under compulsion. The spa owner used to keep their documents and mobile with him. Later while leaving he used to return the documents and mobile, after that he used to contact them when another customer arrived. ACP Ajit Singh said that a raid was conducted after making a strategy on the basis of the complaint. Immoral activities were found happening under the guise of a spa center in which four people including the operator were arrested. The operator has been taken on three-day remand and is being questioned.
