Pb Governor offers condolences to the families of the army soldiers lost their lives in J&K

CHANDIGARH : The Punjab Governor and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Banwarilal Purohit expressed profound grief and offered his deepest condolences of the families of five army soldiers including a JCO who lost their precious lives in an encounter with the terrorists at Poonch  in Jammu and  Kashmir. Three of the Martyred soldiers hailed from the State of Punjab.

In his condolence message, the Governor said that the Nation will always remain indebted to the martyrs for their supreme sacrifices. He said the Punjabis have always exhibited the indomitable spirit and courage especially serving their motherland and defending our borders.

Wreaths will be placed on the martyrs as a mark of respect by the concerned Deputy Commissioners on behalf of the Punjab Governor. The deceased Naib Subedar Jaswinder Singh of unit 4 MECH INFANTRY,(SIKH), hailed from Village Mana Talwandi in District Kapurthala, Naik Mandeep Singh of 11 SIKH, was from Village Chhatha Shira, Fatehgarh Churian in District Gurdaspur and Sepoy Gajjan Singh of 23 SIKH belonged to Village Pachranda, Nurpur Bedi in District Ropar.
