Punjab govt to Launch new industrial policy Very Soon:  Nijjar

Amritsar :  Punjab Local Government Minister Inderbir Singh Nijjar has said that the new industrial policy being brought by the Punjab government will take care of industries of all categories.  Apart from experts, the role of industrialists will be important in making this policy.

Appreciating the PHDCCI for organising the 16th Edition of Punjab International Trade Expo, 2022 and also for keeping a special session on Empowering MSMEs said that  it was the need of the hour to address the concerns of MSMEs to recover from the post Pandemic effects.

Citing an example of a 50% increase in the stalls this year in PITEX, 2022 , as compared to last year, in addition to participation of 6 countries, he  mentioned that these numbers are a showcase of flourishing trade.

Addressing the concern over increased migration of the youth to Canada, he mentioned that it is due to lack of robust systems that the youth is opting to move out of the country.

He said that till we build robust and strong systems within the states and the country, going global and international will not be of any help for development.

Industry heals itself and Industry skill itself, said the Minister, adding that MSME generates 96% of employment in the Indian industry and hence the industry should come together to help each other grow for a holistic and inclusive growth.

The government will extend full support and assures to address all concerns relating to industry, especially the MSMEs for its upliftment and growth, said he.
