Science City Hosts Thrilling Arc Welding Competition

Chandigarh/Mohali : On May 20 Science City hosted Arc Welding Competition where more than 100 students participated from different ITIs across the Punjab. The main objective of the event was to encourage skill development and creativity in welding methods. The event highlighted the talent and potential of young students in welding. Participants demonstrated their skills in arc welding techniques. In this competition a team of Govt. ITI College sarhali Tarntarn has received first prize, Govt. ITI College Gill Road Ludhiana Stood second and third prize bagged to Govt. ITI College Talwandi  Chowdrian.

The well-known welder girl, Harpal Kaur, also known as Brown Kudi, was the special guest at the event. She shared her experience and said that welding is a process used to connect materials like metals together. It is important in many industries, from building structures to making detailed metal designs. A good practical knowledge about welding helped students in shaping their future. She encouraged the students to work efficiently and innovatively in this field.

During the occasion, Sohan Singh Saini, Deputy Engineer, Science City, said that the Arc Welding Competition gave students a chance to showcase their skills and creativity in welding. Students gained valuable insights into the application of welding theory and developed confidence in their abilities.
