Racket including SDM office staff sharing movements , RTA, ST checking staff busted

KURUKSHETRA (SATISH HANDA):  Chief Minister Flying Squad busted a racket and registered case against six persons including two staff members of SDM office at Ladwa in Kurukshetra district including reader Manjeet and a peon Praveen along with mastermind in the gang Amarjit resident of Jyoti Nagar, Jaspreet alias Jassa resident of village Ajrana Kgurd an employee in the racket, Dablew resident of Indri and Mohit resident of village Kheda Markanda allegedly running a network in the state involved in sharing the movements of Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and sales tax checking staff to nearly825 members mostly private transporters having overloaded vehicles plying on the roads on Watts up group.

On the complaint of Inspector Dinesh Kumar a case was registered against six members of the racket and investigation was handed over to Ravinder Tomae DSP and police arrested three of them identified as prime accused  Amarjit, Jaspreet and Praveen working as peon in SDM office and started search for remaining three members of racket. Inspector Dinesh Kumar told that team of flying squad arrested Jasbir when started chasing RTA checking staff on his motorcycle from SDM office when he disclosed the name of Jasbir Singh as kingpin in the racket who was arrested while passing a message to all members about the location and movement of RTA checking staff sitting in an I-20 car. Jasbir admitted crime during preliminary interrogation and disclosed that they used to collect huge monthly amount from all Watts up members for providing them the location and movement of RTA and sales tax department checking staff.

 Investigation revealed, the gang members used to pass messages to all members on social media through different code words some of these were ‘Sat Nam Wahe Guru’, ‘Sultan Helpline’, ‘Rajbai Helpline’, ‘Admin Sonepat’, ‘Jai Mata Di’, ‘Sultan Rohta’, Jai Mata Di Karnal’, ‘Kolkata Night Riders’, ‘Wahe Guruji’an many more. Police seized mobile phones. Police seized mobile phones of all arrested members.
