Racket of 4 robbed 24 ATM counters in Haryana & Punjab arrested

Panipat police busted a gang of four persons involved in robbing as many as 24 ATM booths of different banks which included 12 booths in Haryana, 7 booths in Punjab and remaining located in NCR. All arrested members of gang were residents of Patiala district, identified as the kingpin in the gang Sukhvinder Singh alias Sukha of age 43 earlier working in army and was declared an offender by army, his younger brother Bhupinder Singh alias Pinda of age 40, Gurmeet Singh alias Sonu of age 47 a resident of village Koli in Patiala district and his younger brother Devinder Singh alias Raju of age 37. The mastermind in the gang Sukhvinder used to get 50% share of robbed money and the balance amount was being shared among rest three members in the gang, which earned amont worth crores of rupees in ATM robberies.
Ajit Singh Shekhawat SP addressing media persons told that police recovered a Fortune Car, a Maruti car, a rivolver, two pistals, a gun, a motorcycle, a tractor, 71 live cartridges, huge quantity of gold jewellery and cuurency notes from the kingpin during raid t his residence after the arrest of all gang members. All arrested were produced in the court and remanded to police custody for six days. During preliminary investigation they admitted all ATM robberies  conducted seven at Panipat, five at Karnal, three at Kaithal  and one each at Sonipat, Ambala and Kurukshetra in Haryana state. SP told that to their hard luck their Fortune car registration number was identified in CCTV camera installed at the ATM booth when they were conducting robbery at the ATM booth near the Gohana Road turning point on May 26 this year as a result police in search of the criminals reached upto the robbers and arrested all.
 SP told that the kingpin in the gangn Sukhvinder had recently constructed a house spending amount worth Rs 40 crore but to be on safe side the gang members were not depositing robbed money in their bank accounts. Information also revealed that Sukhvinder used to change the lights and number plate of his Fortune and Maruti cars after every robbery, besides spraying over the tyres of his vehicle used in the crime. All four robbers usually vtsiting holy Golden Temple at Amritsar together after every robbing case. They were using Duster vehicle to carry ATM machine dragged from a ATM booth which was generally thrown in Kachhwa river near Karnal after removing currency notes from it.
