“Rahul Gandhi dreams of the ED even at one o’clock in the night because there must be something that causes him to dream of the ED”: Anil Vij

Chandigarh:  Former Home Minister of Haryana, Anil Vij sharply reacted to the statement of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, that the ED is preparing to raid him, saying, “Rahul Gandhi dreams of the ED even at one o’clock in the night because there must be something that causes him to dream of the ED.” He further said that Rahul Gandhi says, “I am ready, if the ED team comes, I will even serve them breakfast.” He stated that serving breakfast to the team conducting the raid is also corruption. Additionally, he called Rahul Gandhi ignorant. Vij was responding to questions from journalists today.

Commenting sarcastically on the formation of a Congress organization in Haryana after 11 years, former Home Minister Anil Vij said, “Can this be considered a party that could not even form its own organization for 11 years? Regular elections are necessary for a party. Parties that do not have democracy within party cannot protect the democracy of the country.”

In Parliament, Congress leader Surjewala told Anurag Thakur, who questioned Rahul Gandhi’s caste, that if you want to know Rahul Gandhi’s caste, ask the farmers with whom he worked in the fields, or ask the cobbler with whom he sat and stitched shoes. On this, Anil Vij said, “Rahul Gandhi repeatedly talks about caste-based census and these very castes. He questioned Surjewala, asking which castes he is talking about. He also accused the Congress of dividing the country on the basis of religion.”

Speaking to the media persons, he said, “It is a matter of pride that a child from Ambala won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics. This has brought glory to Ambala, Haryana and the country, and every citizen and child of Ambala is celebrating this achievement.” He mentioned that Sarabjot’s father had expressed gratitude yesterday, saying that the shooting range he had established in Ambala had helped Sarabjot reach this level. He also praised Manu Bhaker, stating that she had already won two medals and there was a high possibility of her winning a third (gold) medal for India. He said, “Our children have so much talent that Haryana satisfies the country’s hunger for medals. When I was the Sports Minister, I did a lot of work for the athletes. I established Haryana’s first Sports University in Rai because today is the era of technology. We need more and more qualified coaches and they can be trained there. We are building good stadiums for the athletes and will continue to try our best in the future.”
