The Himachal Pradesh Police registered an FIR on 13th December 2024 against Haryana BJP chief Mohan Lal Badauli and ‘Hariyanvi’ singer Rocky alias Jai Bhagwan on the complaints of a woman allegedely both forced her to drink alcohol in the room of a hotel at Kasauli in Solan on 3rd July 2023 and she was forcibly gang-raped by both when she was under the influence of liquor, not only this they clicked her nude photographs and also prepared a nude video of assault. The complainant in a report to police also alleged that both accused had threatened to kill if she disclosed the incident to any one. According to the complainant woman, she along with her Delhi friend her boss met Badauli and the singer Rocky a resident of Panchkula at the Kasauli hotel when Badauli introduced himself as a political leader, while Rocky claimed to be a singer had promised her assistance in securing a government job in Haryana state, whereas singer Rocky assured her featuring in a music video being released shortly.
The FIR further stated that two months ago, the woman was called to Rocky’s house in Panchkula, where she was threatened to be implicated in a false case if she revealed the incident of gagg rape to any one. The Himachal police in Kasauli booked both Badauli and Rocky in molestation case registered under the Indian Penal Code Sections 376D (gang rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) in molestation case registered against both Haryana BJP president Mohanlal Badauli and the singer Rocky Mittal in the complaint that she was gang raped in hotel in Kasauli on the pretext of giving her a government job and making her an actress in a video. According to Solan Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh, the woman alleged that both the accused forcibly made her drink alcohol and raped her, and also made obscene photos as well as her nude videos of her. Not only this, the accused also threatened to kill her, due to which she was scared.
According to the complainant lodged FIR, she was on a visit to Kasauli with her friend and boss staying at the hotel and met Badauli and Rocky alias Mittal staying in the same hotel, when Badauli introduced himself as a politician and Mittal introduced himself as a singer. While talking, they took her to their room and said that they would sit and talk when Rocky assured to give her the role of an actress in his album and Badauli assured to get her a government job in Haryana. The victim alleges that both of them offered her alcohol but she refused, despite refusing they forcibly made her drink alcohol for accompany sake, after this both started molesting her in-spite of she opposed this and both raped her in turns when she was under the influence of liquor. The complainant said that about two months ago, she was called to Panchkula by both accused who threatened her dire consequences and trap her in a false case in case she disclosed the incident of gang-rape to any one. The victim told Kasauli police that they have her videos and photos in their phone, which should be deleted. Gaurav Singh SP Solan said on the complaint of the victim woman, the police hadregistered a case of gang rape against alleged accused on Deecember 13, 2024 and started investigating the matter. However, while talking to media persons Badauli and singer Rocky has denied allegations made by the woman, stating that these are baseless, just to tarnish his political image under a conspiracy.
Past scenario reveals that allegations have been made against the political leaders in Haryana in past also. Haryana politicians have a history of being accused of sexually exploiting and raping women like the recent case in which a woman has accused BJP state president Mohan Lal Badauli of rape. Even before this, many politicians have been accused of such allegations. Due to pressure from the opposition, Sandeep Singh left the sports department, but the government did not remove him from the post of minister, but when Naib Singh Saini became the Chief Minister after Manohar Lal, he was not made a minister. During this assembly election, Sandeep Singh’s ticket was cut. Sandeep Singh is currently in political exile.
During the first term of the Manohar government, Vikas Barala, son of the then BJP state president Subhash Barala, was accused of molesting the daughter of an IAS officer of Haryana. Due to this incident, Barala missed out on becoming a part of Manohar cabinet. Although Subhash Barala had nothing to do directly with this incident but due to the allegations against his son, Barala remained the target of the opposition. Now Barala is a Rajya Sabha member of BJP. During the second term of the Hooda government, which was in power before the Khattar government, the then Minister of State for Home, Gopal Kanda was accused in the sexual harassment and suicide case of air hostess Geetika Sharma. After this, Kanda had to leave the post of minister, but after the case went on for many years, Gopal Kanda was proved innocent in this whole case. Before the Lok Sabha elections, a controversial video of former BJP MP from Sonipat, Ramesh Kaushik was released, after which his ticket was cancelled. During the first term of the Hooda government, the then Deputy Chief Minister Chandar Mohan Bishnoi was in the news for converting to another religion and marrying the then Additional Advocate General Anuradha Bali alias Fiza and going into exile. After getting embroiled in this controversy, he had to resign from the post of Deputy CM.

A new twist in Mohan Lal Badauli case has been seen, since according to the investigating police team from Kasauli, the victim could not even identify the crime scene; has refused to undergo medical examination. Moreover, Kasauli police is not able to find such old CCTV footage in that hotel where gang rape was alleged, in such a situation, whether the allegations of the woman against Mohan Lal Badauli and the singer Rocky are proved or not, it is a matter of later, but this incident is being discussed in the political corridors of BJP raising a question over Badauli’s future. It is unlikely that he will be given any big responsibility again until he gets a clean chit in the rape case.

There has been a new twist in the rape allegations against BJP leader Mohan Lal Badauli and singer Rocky Mittal. According to the another eyewitness, the rape victim’s friend said that nothing like this happened, she stayed with her in the same room of hotel. She said that this seems to be a conspiracy to create pressure and extort money, the allegations seem to be false. The victim’s friend said she and her friend had gone to visit Kasauli on 7 July 2023, the victim and her boss stayed in the same room and nothing of this sort happened there. The Delhi girl said that I have been made a witness, but no incident took place in my presence. She said, my friend told me to go to Kasauli with my boss, where they met Badauli and Rocky Mittal and her name was wrongly included in the FIR, and it seems to be a conspiracy to build pressure and extort money. She said, her name has been deliberately included in the FIR, nothing like rape happened. The witness denied the allegations of rape.
