In view of increasing criminal activities in Haryana state in past sometime as regard arrest of gangsters, large number of drug smuggling cases and increased incidents of theft, snatchings, murders and crimes against women by anti-social elements in the state a review meeting presided by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter was held at police headquarter Panchkula to review action against increasing crimes in Haryana state in which Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, DGP P.K. Aggarwal and all senior police officers from all over the state were present. The aim for holding this meeting was to review measures to wipe out crimes in the state.
Chief Minister expressed deep concern over arrest of few gangsters in recent past sometime, fast siring cases of drug smuggling, fast increasing drug addiction among youths, increased cases of murder, theft, kidnapping and rape causing fear among residents in the states and it is duty of police to adopt strict measures against anti-social elements grooming in the state and provide relief to the people. Chief Minister while addressing police officers said that police officers in the state should perform their duty without any pressure to maintain law and order in the state and should take strict action against criminals since its government duty to provide safe and secure environments to people in the state having faith in police department. Khatter said, police in the state have taken stern action against criminals, gangsters and anti-social elements in past sometime and in case they continue similar action against anti-social elements people in the state will get relief and Haryana may become a crime-free state.
Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that all efforts are being made to improve law and order in the state. He said, Dial-112 service introduced in the state have proved beneficial bringing desired results when police reaches at the spot of any unwanted happening within minutes and provide assistance to suffering victims promptly and this service have proved helpful in arresting crimes to large extent. Vij said, Anti-narcotic Cell to control smuggling and sale of drugs has been constituted in the state providing satisfactory results and holding several seminars in educational institutes and public rallies to save people from drug addiction, especially youths. Vij said, police heads in every district across the state have been directed immediate arrest of bale jumpers, declared offenders by the courts, most wanted criminals and those having illegal weapons.
