Rice miller trapped in Rs 197 crore alleged fraud in 4783 quintal rice

Ambala : Naraingarh police station in Ambala district registered a fraud case  against three persons identified as Ram Karan owner of Shri Krishna Rice Mill at village Dharelikalan in Naraingarh sub division of Ambala district and two others Izaz Ali a resident of village Saidpur in Yamunanagar district and Aman Kumar a resident of village Talhedi (Naraingarh) both were the guarantors in the agreement allegedly non-supply of rice after milling paddy crop given to the rice mill for milling which was not returned to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) allotted to the rice mill by the  HAFED after milling. Alleged fraud case was registered by Naraingarh police station on the complaint of Amit Kumar, District Manager The Haryana State Cooperative  and Marketing Federation Ambala.
According to the complainant, HAFED during the year 2022-23 had given paddy crop for milling rice to Shri Krishna Rice Mills to deliver 41161.875 quintal rice to the FCI through an agreement between the HAFED and the rice mill in October 2022 in which 22896 quintal rice stocks were delivered to the FCI with assurance to deliver the remaining 4783.476 quintal rice stocks positively before 21st August 2023, which was not supplied in-spite of repeated reminders.

 Information reveals that during physical verification by HAFED and FCI officers the remaining quantity of rice of value worth Rs 1,97 crore was not available in the rice mill, nor the owner of the mill Ram Karan could give a satisfactory reply as regard balance rice stocks, as such a fraud case was registered against the owner of the rice mill and the guarantors with a copy of the complaint to Deputy Commissioner and  District Food Supply Controller for action against the mill.
