30 Immigration frauds registered at Ambala in 2 days
Hisar/ Ambala: In-spite of repeated warnings by Haryana police as well as Ambala SP Randhawa, youths willing to settle abroad are running after cheatsimmigration agents. An immigration agency at Hisar having a network of agents spread all over in Haryana state, especially in Karnal, Kaithal and Ambala districts was busted by Haryana police recently allegedly cheated amount worth Rs 1.70 crore from youths willing to settle abroad issued them fake work permits and visa in which large number of youths were either arrested in abroad, abandoned in jungles or left at wrong destinations. According to information, the majority of youths assured to settle at USA, UK, Canada and Australia were left at Dubai, Nepal, Sarbia or left in jungles as well as as there are severals with no where about.
Among those 13 arrested by the police allegedly cheated amount worth Rs 1.70 crore include five youths paid amount worth Rs 1.14 crore for arranging their work permit in USA all belonging to Kaithal district allegedly cheated by immigration agents identified as Ramesh, Rohit and Anita against whom case was registered at Pundri police station in Jind district. Among others booked by police have been identified as Roshan and Gagan Dev Bharti, both residents of village Chandpur in Yamunanagar district. Subhash Saini, Pooja and Guddi all residents of Pundri were booked on the complaint of a female Meera Devi from whom anamount worth Rs 7 lakh was cheated to settle her in Puratgal. A case was registered against Yash Pal and Nisha both residents of Kaithal cheated amount worth Rs 21 lakh assuring work permit and visa for Australia. A case was also registered against Ankit ,a resident of village Nara in Panipat distriict cheated Balkar Singh Rs 11 lakh for settling him abroad.
Surprisingly, as many as 30 cheating cases have been registered at different police stations in Ambala district allehedly cheated amount worth crores of rupees by ‘Kabootarbaj’ assuring work permit in desired countries in a period of only two days. According to police information alarge number of youths sent abroad are reported missing by their families. On the direction of Home Minister Anil Vij an SIT has been constituted led by Sibas Kaviraj IG Ambala range for the arrest of such accused, some of these have been stated to have left the country to avoid arrest. Information reveals, there is a long list of immigration agents on police radar who have cheated people in the state which will not be spared at any cost, IG Ambala range said.
