Haryana’s new industry policy, investment Rs 1 lakh crore, jobs to 5 lakh youths in 5 years

Haryana state government has already prepared a draft for new industry policy in the state in which government has taken decision to make Rs 1 lakh crore investment and make employment opportunities for five lakh people in coming five years under Haryana Enterprises Promotion Policy 2020. State industry department has already taken up this matter with prominent industrialists seeking their suggestions in this regard. According to information, industry in Haryana state is spread across 27137 acres area and state government further focussing to increase this area and as well as exports by nearly hundred percent by the year 2025 likely to exceed Rs 2 lakh crore annually for which several new schemes are being introduced in new industry policy to make available subsidies for industry entrepreneurs, concession in power tariff for industry, provision for land at subsidized rates and revalidation in nearly 100 types rules applicable for industry by state government.
According to information, in 27137 acres industry area in the state there are six Industrial Model Township (IMT), 24 industrial areas, 11 industry clusters and theme parks, only airport at Hisar with approval for another at Ambala, specialised IMT at Sohna, Global City Gurugram and developing a multi model logistics hub at Narnaul still in the pipeline. According to state industry department information, special focus is being given to invite investment in automobiles, auto components, footwear, agriculture based food products, textiles & garments, electronics system & design, manufacturing arms & aerospace products, pharmaceutical & medical devices chemicals & petrochemicals products sectors.
According to a senior officer of industry department in Haryana state requested not to disclose his name till new industry policy is approved, special care is being taken to develop industry in rural areas in new industry policy with a provision to provide amount of capital subsidy up to Rs 15 lakh, rebate in interest on loan amount and subsidy available on purchase of diesel generating sets likely Rs 8000 each KVA because of shortage of power supply in rural areas. He disclosed that single window system is being strengthened in which nearly 150 services are being included for the convenience of those willing to set up industry in Haryana.
