Rs 16 crore fine collected in Haryana from violators of wearing face masks

According to Haryana state government wearing face mask at public places was made essential due to spread of corona epidemic outbreak but most of residents in the state violated directions and according to traffic police information more than 3.25,477 lakh persons were caught moving at public places without wearing face mask in past three months from whom amount worth over Rs 16.27 crore towards fine has been collected during this period in the state. Navdeep Singh Virk Additional Director General Police (Law & Order) told that detailed report in this regard is being sent to police headquarter daily. He told that first case of patient suffering from corona virus was detected on March 17, 2020 in the state and on receipt of directions to impose Rs 500 fine each on violators was received on May 27, 2020 from the state government and this campaign was launched in the state as such revenue worth over Rs 27 crore has been collected from defaulters till date.

According to information, district wise detail of persons violated directions and fined was observed highest in Gurugram district and lowest in Rewari district recorded as 33422 at Gurugram, 27007 at Faridabad, 19831 at Yamunanagar, 18371 at Palwal, 17806 at Sonepat, 17120 at Jhajjar, 16459 at Kaithal, 15589 at Panipat, 14558 at Karnal, 14343 at Rohtak,13340 at Bhiwani, 12805 at Siesa,12788 at Jind, 12082 at at Ambala, 11749 at Hisar, 11724 at Narnaul, 10145 at Kurukshetra, 10036 at 10036 at Fatehabad, 9298 at Panchkula,9812 at Dadri, 6028 at Nuh, 5288 at Hansi and 5904 at Rewari.
