Rs 250 crore ‘Theme Park’ exhibiting modern ‘Mahabharat’ at Kurukshetra

KURUKSHETRA : Nearly 80% construction work of ‘Theme Park’ having project cost worth Rs 250 crore including Rs 32 crore contributed by the Union Government being developed at holy place Jyotisar near historic town Kurukshetra where war between ‘Pandav’ and ‘Kaurav’ took place has been completed. The park will exhibit all important events related to ‘Mahabharat’ using modern techniques to attract visitors to this ancient historic park. The pilgrims visiting the park will be in a position to view and listen lord Krishna’s preaches conveyed to Arjun in a light and sound auditorium inside the park.

The decision to develop this park was taken jointly by Tourism department and Kurukshetra Vikas Board and the project was approved by the government in 2018 but work started in 2020 since project delayed due to KOVID-19 epidemic outbreak in the state. According to information, State Tourism Department took control over this project has already constructed main gate as well as five halls: Mahabharat, Holy Geeta, 48 km Kuukshetra, 18 Days of Mahabhart and War between Pandav-Kaurav from Hastinapur to Kurukshatra respectively, besides other important incidents.

According to Tourism Department information new technology has been applied in the ‘Theme Park’ to include realty, artificial intelligence, hologram image, Robotic drone, 3D Project mapping with the help of modern techniques. Madan Mohan Chhabra President of Kurukshrtra Vikas Board told that there is a proposal to spend amount worth Rs 250 crore on this project in which Rs 2004 crore will be spent on construction of building, Rs 10 crore over 40 feet high Lord Krisna statue fixed on 10 feet stand, Rs 6 lakh to be spent on Light & Sound system and Rs 16 core to be pent on other activities to attract visitors from distant places rom all over world.
