On the directions by Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising of six IPS officer from Haryana led by Bharti Arora IGP Karnal range arrested 28 cheat immigration agents sent Haryana youths to United States America on fake documents after collecting huge amount from them worth lakhs of rupees during year 2018-19. According to Bharti Arora, as many as 254 cases were registered by police against immigration agents, apart from this 156 new cases has now been registered at various police stations in Haryana against immigration agents recently on the complaints of youths sent by the immigration agents on the basis of fake documents, arrested by police in USA during illegal entry at the borders, spent long time in USA jails for a long times and sent back to India after spread of corona virus epidemic outbreak in USA.
According to Bharti Arora, none of accused was spared by the police in spite of heavy pressure from influential as well as political people in the state for compromise between immigration agents and victims but it was not entertained at all, more over Anil Vij has directed not to spare those played with the career of innocent youths and police hopes for the arrest of several more agents yet absconding. She told that amount worth Rs 35.33 crore has also been recovered from 28 arrested immigration agents. Bharti Arora told that SIT had arrested 11 accused till June 8, 2020 and number of arrests has now reached 28 in few days and large number of absconding agents are likely to trapped in police net soon.
According to SIT information, Om Parkash running immigration business at Karnal involved in 12 complaints of frauds was arrested by police and amount worth Rs 1.90 lakh was recovered from him by police. Similarly another immigration agent at Panipat Deepak Narwal wanted in five fraud cases was arrested and police recovered Rs 1.48 lakh from him. Som Nath Gaba resident of Nigdu in Karnal district was arrested by police recovered amount worth Rs 22.50 lakh from him. Among others arrested by SIT include Amit Vashishat from Madhuban (Karnal), Ravinder Kumar and Hardeep from Kabool Pur, Ram Singh, Sube Singh, Jagdish, Amit, Rajinder and Vikram all residents of Bhiwani. SIT arrested Balwan Singh from Panipat, Mahesh from Ambala, Kiran wife of Sinder Pal resident of Jalandhar in Punjab, Amit Varma resident of Jagraon in Punjab, Sukhdeep Singh and Ram Mehar both residents of Dadupur, Vishal resident of village Bhadod in Panipat district and recovered huge amount from them. .
