Kanpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s regional pracharaks annual meeting will discuss the assembly elections in four states to be held next year, including in Uttar Pradesh.
The Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab, slated for next year, are likely to be discussed in detail and national issues will be discussed in the annual meeting which will continue till July 15, RSS sources said.
In the first phase of the meeting, from Jul 11-13 discussions on physical, mental and social interest and on organisation’s progress and how new people should be associated with RSS will be held. In the second phase, from Jul 14-15, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and BJP Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh will attend the meeting where BJP’s Ram Madhav, Ram Lal and Shiv Prakash, VHP’s Champat Ram and ABVP’s Chunni Lal might be present, the sources said. Prant pracharak Mohan Lal Aggarwal said the national office bearers of the RSS will participate in the final phase and will review the sessions in the first two phases. Two representatives from every organisation will take part in the meeting, if the top leaders want they can call more than two people from these organisations, he said. According to an official who attended the RSS meeting today, discussions on yoga and training were held and on the internal matters of RSS. Since 2010 there has been a drastic expansion of RSS where 12,000 new branches have been formed. — PTI
