Selja led ‘Tigdi’ group to begin Jan Sandesh Yatra on Jan 14

The Jan Sandesh Yatra, being organised by the Congress ‘Tigdi’ comprising announced of Kumari Selja, general secretary Randeep Surjewala and a senior Congress leader Kiran Chaudhary, also dubbed as SRK group  announced to start it on the day of ‘Makar Sankranti’ after a rally  at Faridabad, ahead of the general elections likely to be held in May next year 2024, which will start from Faridabad on January 14 and end in Ambala. The ‘Yatra’ aims to deliver message of  Rahul, Kharge to the residents of Haryana state in all 10 Lok Sabha and 90 Vidhan Sabha areas said to be another challenge to the leadership of former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Haryana Congress, which clearly indicates groupism among senior Congress leaders in the state.

This was disclosed during a party meeting called by Selja at her residence in Ambala Cantonment which was attended by working presidents Ramkishan Gujjar, Suresh Gupta, MLAs Shamsher Gogi, Renu Bala, Shailly Chaudhary and Pradeep Chaudhary, state president of Mahila Congress Sudha Bhardwaj, former deputy speaker Akram Khan and large number of party leaders and the workers. At the meeting, Selja said that the yatra will cover each Lok Sabha seat in two days in the presence of Randeep Surjewala and iran Chaudhary. The former Ambala MP and a UNion Minister Selja said that the motive of the yatra will be to point out the failures of union and state BJP governments. She clarified that the yatra will move on vehicles nlike Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ a foot march.

The three-time MP from Haryana Selja also showcased her desire to contest the 2024 assembly elections if the party high command will ask her to contest the Lok Sabha election she will do so. At the same in a conference, when accompanied by Randeep Surjewala and Kiran Chaudhary, Seljs had said that Hooda is not the chief minister face of party in Haryana and the decision regarding the same will be taken by the high command only. She also spoke about the differences between Congress leaders as regard formation of party unit in Haryana state which should be constituted at the earliest. She said that Sandesh Yatra is being organized to strengthen party and every Congress leader should join hands for its success.
