Chandigarh, April 17, 2024: In an unexpected turn of events, Senior Akali Leader Parminder Singh Dhindsa has been denied a ticket by the Shiromani Akali Dal, leading to widespread discontent among him and his associates. Notably,  SAD President , Sukhbir Singh Badal had assured Parminder Singh Dhindsa  a party ticket from Sangrur Lok Sabha Constituency. Besides this, he has also made other prominent promises to Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and his associates. This dissatisfaction was vocalized during a meeting of senior Akali leaders and workers convened at the residence of Shiromani Akali Dal’s Patron, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, in Chandigarh.

Expressing their strong resentment, several senior Akali leaders and workers criticized the decision to deny a ticket to Parminder Singh Dhindsa, highlighting it as a clear indication of negligence towards Sangrur constituency. Furthermore, they lamented the failure of the party leadership to fulfill promises made for the welfare of the Panth and Punjab, which were made prior to their joining the party.
