Police has arrested principal of a government school at Uchana in Jind district allegedly involved in sex exploitation of girl students who was also earlier suspended by the state education department. The arrested accused was produced before the judge by the police on Sunday seeking police remand. A complaint was made to the police by as many as 15 girl students against the principal Kartar Singh on 14th September this year, allegedly frequent sex exploitation incidents by the alleged accused and finding no action in this regard when nearly 50 girl students started protest and the matter was also forwarded to the Chairperson of State Women Commission Renu Bhatia who took up matter with the state education department as well as with the Director General Police, Haryana and investigation in the case was handed over to the DSP Narwama Amit Bhatia and the District Education Officer Vijay Lakshami who said that the principal was suspended with immediate effect. Investigation also revealed that there were large number of similar complaints against the principal in past also, but he was being saved by a political leader. Finally, polie arrested the alleged accused on Saturday.
In another case reported at Hisar few days ago , a case has been registered against Dean and the Director of a private school alleged the Dean was involved in vulgar activities with the girl students during an educational tour to Udaipur in Rajasthan when Dean of the school entered in the room of girl studrnts staying in a hotel late night, not only offered them intoxicated substance but also sexiually exploited them and the matter was taken up with the police when Vinod Shanker DSP reached at the spot and a case under pocksey act was regsiared against the Dean on 29th October 2023. Renu Bhatia of State Women Commission said that such type of incidents in the educational schools will not be permitted at any case and action will be taken with the police against Dean as well as the Director of the school, a wife of a senior political leader taken no action against Dean. However, the parents of the students locked the school in protest.
