Shiromani Akali Dal will participate in Delhi protest march by SGPC

Amritsar, December 14 – The Shiromani Akali Dal will register its full presence in the protest march to be organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in Delhi on December 20, regarding the release of Sikh prisoners. This announcement was made by Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal during a special meeting with the district presidents, constituency in-charges, and SGPC members at the SGPC office. A large number of Shiromani Akali Dal leaders participated in this gathering.

In his address, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal giving support to the December 20 protest march by SGPC said that all party leaders and workers will participate in this cause with enthusiasm. He said that full attendance will be recorded from every constituency and the SGPC will be given support from every aspect.

Sukhbir Badal said that since Shiromani Akali Dal is a political party representing the Panth, it will perform its duty in the forefront on the community’s issue of Sikh prisoners. He strongly criticized the government and said that it was not right to discriminate against the Sikh community on the issue of Sikh prisoners.

On this occasion, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami thanked all the parties who supported the December 20 Delhi protest march being organized by SGPC regarding the release of Sikh prisoners and said that this struggle is for the protection of the human rights of Sikhs which will register a historic appearance with unity. He said that this protest march in a peaceful manner would prove to be an example. On this occasion, senior Akali leader Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, and Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema also addressed the gathering. During this gathering, some resolutions were also presented by Prem Singh Chandumajra on Panthic matters, which were approved by the present leaders amid Sikh victory slogans.

On the occasion of the gathering, MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Bikram Singh Majithia, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Hira Singh Gabaria, Virsa Singh Valtoha, Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal, Gulzar Singh Ranike, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Vir Singh Lopoke, Ravikaran Singh Kahlon, Iqbal Singh Jhunda, Charanjit Singh Brar, Gurbachan Singh Babbehali, Talbir Singh Gill, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, Gurpratap Singh Wadala, Karnail Singh Peer Muhammad, and a large number of other Akali leaders were present.
