SHO alleged involved in honey trap racket suspended, absconding leaving ‘3-W’ trapped in police net

Ambala: Jashandeep Singh Randhawa SP Ambala suspended the station house officer (SHO) of Mahesh Nagar police station in Ambala Cantt for his alleged involvement in blackmailing an officer Manoj Kumar a permanent resident of Jhajjar working with the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and presently staying in a rented house in Sector 9 Ambala City along with two others. The suspended police inspector Subash absent from duty since he was also alleged involved in blackmailing in this honey trap cases at Ambala as well as also alleged earlier at Yamunanagar when he was SHO at Mulana police station in which three women alleged involved in this racket identified as Ravneet, Sukhpreet and Preeti have already been arrested by Ambala police, whereas a local youth Gaurav alleged the kingpin of the racket is still absconding and police conducting raids at his hide outs for his arrest, SP said.

Randhawa told that on October 12, a female Ravneet had filed a complaint at the Sector 9 police station Ambala City accusing Manoj Kumar employed with the FCI branch in Ambala raped her. She alleged Manoj had raped her on pretext of giving her a job when later some acquaintances of Manoj met him demanding an inquiry that was forwarded to DSP headquarters as well as SHO of Sector 9 police station and the investigation revealed that the allegations are false and complainant woman didn’t know Manoj  at all and had met him for few minutes asking him to arrange a rented accommodation for her when he refused saying that he was also a tenant in the house. SP told that the woman was called for questioning when she confessed to the false charge. A cross case of extortion was registered on October 18 at the same police station based on Manoj’s complaint in which she (Ravneet) was arrested.

The SP told that Ravneet revealed the involvement of her accomplice Sukhpreet who had lodged a similar false case against a businessman in Yamunanagar was also arrested by the police. It was also disclosed that a local youth Gaurav who was on good terms with police inspector Subash is the mastermind behind the racket falsely implicating innocent male persons in false honey trap cases. Meanwhile, the third woman named Preeti working as a senior officer in a bank is the estranged wife of Manoj and both are undergoing a matrimonial clash in the court approached Gaurav to take revenge from her husband also arrested.

Randhawa told that Subhash Station House Officer posted at Mahesh Nagar police station has been suspended after his alleged links with the gang involved in extortion and blackmailing innocent people came to light in which woman had accused an official of the Food Corporation of India of raping her to extort money now demanding amount worth Rs 10 lakh. The charges leveled by woman identified as Ravneet against FCI official Manoj were found false and during investigation the name of the Mahesh Nagar SHO, Subhash cropped up and soon after his name exposed he went absent from his duty on the same night and went underground. The Ambala police have arrested three women identified as Ravneet, Sukhpreet, and Preeti in connection with the case while the kingpin of the gang Gaurav is still at large and Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh Randhawa suspended the SHO with immediate effect.

Information reveals, a special investigation team (SIT) was formed to investigate alleged rape case registered at the Sector-9 police station on October 12 and during investigation the SIT found the complaint false and arrested three women including Preeti wife of victim Manoj working with FCI and the couple reportedly fighting a matrimonial dispute case. Police, Inspector Subhash has been suspended on the basis of report submitted by the SIT which said that alleged accuse Manoj Kumar  was falsely implicated on October 18 in a false case registered against him on October 12 on the basis of complaint by Ravneet and others in order to extort money and also threatened to kill if amount worth Rs 10 lakh was not given. Meanwhile, the earlier case of the gang registered against a businessman in Yamunanagar has also been opened, SP said that case was registered but the allegations of rape were also found false
