Chandigarh (SATISH HANDA): In view of development of large number of illegal colonies in and around Zirakpur a (SArea in Mohali district, large number of families from Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali and other adjoining districts willing to have their own residential houses impressed by lucrative offers by cooperative societies and builders invested their hard earned money in purchasing flats in multi-storey buildings in the area. On getting large number of complaints in past few months, Additional Deputy Commissioner  (ADC) Urban Development Commission Pooja Syal Grewal recently carried inspection in the area and observed that nearly 50% work as regard construction of roads, laying sewerage pipes and other developmental work in these illegal colonies has been completed and concerned government officers are silently watching everything for the reason best known to them. ADC has ordered demolishing of seven illegal colonies in Zirakpur, Ghazipur area with immediate effect.
