Chandigarh : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had meeting with cabinet ministers and senior bureaucrats in the state as regard pre-budget consultation. He said that the focus of the 2023-24 Haryana budget will be on economic and social welfare of weaker sections, farmers, and labourers apart from promoting industries in the state, further improvements in health and education sectors, besides creating self-employment opportunities for youths and women. Chief Minister said that the main focus of the state budget on February 23 will be based on economic and social uplifting of every section, especially of weaker sections, farmers, and labourers. Khattar said that on the lines of the Central government budget, Haryana will also present the state’s first budget of Amrit Kaal. Khatter said, we aim is to present a budget that ensures holistic development in the state while ensuring everyone’s participation in this regard when he was talking to media persons after having meeting with his cabinet ministers and government bureaucrats.
While interacting with the media after the pre-budget meeting, Khattar said, efforts will be made on implementing more schemes for the welfare of the youths and women for their self-employments schemes like fish farming, developing milk dairies and hi-tech nurseries especially in rural areas. He decision will be taken to develop a wholesale fish market in the state like in Delhi. Khatter said, Haryana should get maximum benefits from beneficial projects announced in the Union Budget recently. Chief Minister said pre-budget meetings would also be held with other stakeholders also in the coming days, after which a balanced democratic budget would be presented to include all suggestions.
Khatter said that Haryana state will ensure its contribution to achieving Prime Minister’s vision to make India a $5 trillion economy and global powerhouse for which there is need to increase growth in every sector with special emphasis on expanding Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as well as exports in order to bring prosperity in the state. Information reveals that nearly four dozen suggestions were made by cabinet ministers and bureaucrats present in the meeting. CM added that special attention will be made to implement new development schemes included in the Centre’s budget laid on up lifting of last-mile citizen along with improvement in education, health, employment, and women welfare and empowerment. He added that special attention will be given to set up new industries in order to create employment opportunities and boost micro-irrigation in rural areas. There are plans set up Digital Libraries in every village across the state, improve the condition of immigration ground in villages under Shivdham Yozna, developing commercial fish-farming as well as dairy farming to increase farmers’ income, open play nurseries and Yoga centres in every village in the state, to set up Helipads at Hisar and Gurugram, growth in every sector to make a Democratic Budget.
