It is an open fact that Congress in Haryana state has been divided in two groups: Bhupinder Singh Hooda camp and another Kumari Selja, Randeep Surjewala and Kiran Choudhury usually known as SRK camp. The differences between both groups are to the extent that the members of each group are not visible in Congress gatherings organized by the rival groups. Needless to say that differences in both groups may prove very harmful for the party and in-spite of all efforts Congress high command has not been successful to unite both groups and with the passage of time the rift between the members of Hooda and SRK groups is continuously widening.
The Congress high command’s delay in releasing the Lok Sabha candidates list for Haryana has not only made aspirants restless, but also enhanced the rivalry between factions which were busy projecting their candidates in present Lok sabha polls. However, out of eight names declared by the Congress high command so far to contest polls in 10 Lok Sabha seats on 25th May include seven contestants from Hooda group naming Deepender Hooda from Rohtak, Varun Choudhary from Ambala, Jai Parkash alias JP from Hisar, Rao Daan Singh from Bhiwani – Mahendergarh, Divyanshu Budhiraja from Karnal, Mahinder Pratap Singh from Faridabad and Satpal Brahmchari from Sonipat which according to the sources has highly disturbed the rival SRK group. However Congress high command has yet to announce the names of their candidates for the remaining two Lok Sabha constituencies. However, Kumari Shelja from SRK group is the candidate so far going to contest Lok Sabha polls from Sirsa constituency and the names of contestants for the remaining two constituencies are yet awaited.
Captain Ajay Yadav, aspirant from Gurugram, spoke openly against actor Raj Babbar who told the media that if Congress high command wanted to field a Bollywood actor, they should look at Ranvir Singh or Hrithik Roshan who have ‘mass appeal. While talking to media persons Yadav said that he had worked hard for over a month in the Gurugram constituency and covered more than 400 villages. However, when he found out that certain sections within the party wanted Raj Babbar bollywood star from this constituency, he stopped campaigning. He said, the BJP fielded Sunny Deol from Punjab in previous Lok sabha polls but he never turned up in five years, the same will happen to Raj Babbar If the party wants to project a Bollywood face. Meanwhile,
