Chandigarh: Punjab’s Minister for Investment Promotion, Industries and Commerce, Tarunpreet Singh Sond, has issued instructions to senior officials of the department to create a more conducive, transparent, and hassle-free environment for industries in the state. During a review meeting held at the Udyog Bhawan with senior officials of Investment Promotion, Industries and Commerce, Invest Punjab and related corporations/boards, Sond emphasized that taking Punjab to the forefront in the industrial sector, as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is one of his key objectives. To achieve this goal, he urged all officials to cooperate with dedication and integrity.

While addressing the officials, Sond stressed the need to further intensify efforts to ensure that government schemes, policies, and programs related to industries reach small and medium enterprises. He pointed out that many central and state schemes remain underutilized because industrialists are often unaware of them. He suggested that online information on these schemes should be made available so that industrialists can access it with just one click. He also emphasized the need for steps to improve easy access to Invest Punjab’s website for internet users so that when global industrialists search for the best investment destinations, Punjab’s name appears at the top.
