Amritsar : Temporary/contractual employees of Punjab Roadways, Punbus and PRTC today went on a one day strike across the Punjab, demanding an increase in their monthly remuneration. Strike will remain till tonight 12.00 midnight.

According to striking employees around 2000 buses would be affected due to strike throughout the State that left Government bus services at a grinding halt.

The strike left hundreds of commuters stranded at the main bus stand of Amritsar.

Temporary employees of Punbus were seen outside the City bus stand raising anti government slogans.
