Three arrested with 2 kg 600 gm opium & 5 kg poppy husk

Special Task Force Ambala on a information arrested three persons allegedly smuggling 2 kg 600 gm opium and 5 kg poppy husk at a barrier on Khoda Road Hisar. ASI heading police team told that police party gave signal to stop an I-20 coming in high speed, started checking the vehicle when it stopped and during search recovered 2 kg 600 gm opium and 5 kg poppy husk wrapped in polythene bags. Police arrested all three drug smugglers identified as Ram Kumar resident of village Kuhedi in Fatehabad district and Raju resident of village Ladwa in Hisar district and Rajbeer also resident of village Ladwa. All arrested were produced in the court at Hisar and remanded to police custody.

In another case, crime branch of Jhajjar police recovered 40 cases illicit liquor from a car at a police checking barrier on Sampla Road. Police party gave signal to stop the car when driver of the vehicle hit the barrier and managed to flee, chased by police party stopped the car at a distance. One of inmates in the car Rahul alias Kalu resident of village Patli was arrested, whereas his accomplish Vikas also resident of Patli managed to escape. Police seized 40 cases liquor. Arrested youth was remanded to police custody for a day and search for the other started by police.
