Three including a female HCS officer trapped in Haryana Anti corruption bureau net

Panchkula:  Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team from Panchkula booked three employees for Fisheries department Haryana under the Prevention Of Corruption Act at the ACB police station and arrested two accused identified as senior scale stenographer Joginder Singh and a peon Satyendra Singh while accepting the bribe for Rs 1 lakh in a graft case. The team also raided the residence of prime accused Meenakshi Dahiya a joint secretary of fisheries department, presently on 45 days leave but failed to arrest since she was absconding and police started seach for her.

The bureau’s spokesperson said that the state ACB team had received a complaint that the peon Satyendra Singh was demanding a bribe of Rs 1 lakh through Joginder Singh at the behest of joint secretary Meenakshi Dahiya, presently she was on leave who is yet to be arrested. According to the complaint, Dahiya had demanded the said bribe in lieu of removing charge sheet orders against Rajan Kheda, District Fisheries Officer at Panchkula and the file was presently lying with the Additional Chief Secretary Haryana when Dahiya had assured to get withdrawn charges on this issue provided amount worth Rs 1 lakh was paid and the conversation in this regard was recorded on a Watts up call.

ACB team arrested  Joginder Singh senior scale stenographer and Satyender Singh when accepting the bribe amount from Kheda at the parking area of a hotel in Sector 5, Panchkula on May 22, 2024. Information also reveals that the charges in the chargesheet against Kheda about two years ago in May 29, 2022 lying with the Additional Chief Secretary moved under a conspiracy to promote some other officer in the department were already dropped by the Additional Chief Secretary and the minister. Police have started searching for the arrest of Meenakshi Dahiya.
