Amritsar : Bhartiya Janta Party ( BJP) Punjab media team member Dr. Surinder Kanwal here today informed that Ticket coupon  machines which were installed on the main entrance gate of historic Jallaiwalla Bagh has been removed.

In a statement to media she said that earlier she had sent the request letter to the prime minister for the removal of un-operational Ticket coupon machines as it was hurting the sentiments of martyr’s family all over India. She said that there was severe resentment from various corners to charge tickets from the visitors to Jallainwalla Bagh memorial. She said that people come here to pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the nation.

Confirming the development, Secretary Jalliawalla Bagh, S.K. Mukerjee said that ticket coupon machines were uninstalled on Tuesday .
